Upgraded Features of the Edencraft 565
While the 565 hull is considered a ‘classic with heritage’, the 2021 model includes features that deliver on the expectations of the 2021 era boater. The ride is made more comfortable in choppier conditions with the removal of the planning plank and the hull has nearly full length flaring to improving tracking in a following sea.
Specifications – 5.65 metres long with a 2.22 metre beam with 225 HP maximum horsepower. Fuel capacity is 220 litres and people capacity 6.
Now for some details of the upgrades. For starters the Edencraft 565 will be appealing to a wide range of buyers as, according to the company, it can be towed with the average family car. A great feature for those not wanting to upgrade their vehicle but wanting to upgrade to a better trailer boat. The length on a trailer, including the engine is apparently 7.01 metres. There is a change to the transom design. Compared with more recent models, the 2021 version has more of the traditional transom design, which allows for an improvement in the HP rating to up to 225 for a V6 or a V8 outboard.
The larger dashboard definitely has today’s fisher in mind. More space to allow for fish finding and GPS devices with the latest touchscreen tech and larger screens. The coamings are wider which creates space on the top deck for rod holders and for safety.
The Edencraft 565 is stacked with standard kit including padded chairs, dual live bait tanks, stowage pockets, stainless nav lights, stainless steel bow roller, Lone Star electric winch anchor and plenty more. Safety is paramount on the water and a hot topic in the news and Edencraft have included a number of safety features. They include foam buoyancy which fills all the spaces in the hull and below the coamings. This allows for level flotation so in the event that the boat is swamped, it is designed to still float level.

Edencraft took the 565 to Tasmania in early January, to Eden on the NSW South Coast on 28 February for a Family Fun Day and in March its east coast road show time. From 8- 25 March, Edencraft will be travelling up the east coast and interested buyers can book in for a test ride. The show starts at Pambula and extends through to South West Rocks.
