The Chaparral 250 Sun Coast is the first model with outboard power which has been released from this well-known US boat manufacturer since the mid 1970s.
At 25 ft/7.57 m long and with an 8’6”/2.59 m beam the 250 Sun Coast is large bowrider with the capacity for 14 people.
Style and Specs
The Sun Coast is stylish and for an outboard, performs more like an inboard. It has a buoyant hull, rises smoothly to the plan for a smooth ride and comfortable cruising with 284L fuel capacity.
The layout is spacious and well planned with a walk around platform making it easy to move around the craft. The platform also makes great skier’s staging point or ease of swimming. Up front in the bow, comfortable seating, table and a ladder make good use of this area for comfort and function.
Designed as an all-rounder, the 250 features comfortable lounges, stainless steel drink holders and speakers installed into the coatings make this a great bow set-up. A USB connection at the helm can take your music devices.
The helm seat is adjustable and features a bolster for comfortable standing if preferred. The dashboard is well laid-out and stylishly trimmed and overall has a very ergonomic design. Eith pop-up cleats give the skipper plenty of mooring options.
An electric toilet is cleverly installed which sufficient space to move with ventilation via a hull window. Showers at both stern and bow ensure sand and dirt stays in the water and not on your magnificent Sun Coast.
The cockpit area is well-designed and appointed with wrap-around lounges and a table, which is standard and a very convenient inclusion, especially to cater for the 14 people capacity. Refreshments are catered for also with two insulated storage compartments – a cooler on starboard side and another under the co-pilot seat.
While the Chaparral 250 Sun Coast is a great all-rounder, it can be further personalised and customised with a range of optional extras available through the manufacturer.
