When it comes to affordable, reliable tinnies, you can’t go further than the Australian-made Quintrex. The name has been a staple on the Australian boating scene for 70 years and still continues to provide wonderful boating pleasure.
The Quintrex Explorer Trophy range are great boats for fishing in rivers, lakes and estuaries and great for towing behind even small four cylinder vehicles.
There are 3 models in the range: the 400, 420 and 440, all featuring a spacious layout, generous standard specs and inclusions and plenty of options which can be factory-fitted to semi-customise your craft.
The 400 range now has a larger front casting platform and more storage underfloor; both rear and front casting platforms and standard specs include rod holders and now has an optional rod locker which is easily accessible via a lift up door.
Explorer Specs and Options
The Quintrex 420 Explorer Trophy is the middle of the three in the range and has a maximum length of 4.356 m. The 420 features 2mm bottom sides, 1.88 m beam and has a boat only weight of 295 kg.
The Explorer Trophy range takes four people and includes comfortable inclusions, which make for a very enjoyable day’s fishing.
Standard features include carpeted plywood decking, two pedestal seats with five seat positions, short bow rails and the new fork-bow design which creates a more spacious layout.
Painted stipes are standard but you can customise with the Quintrex range of vinyl wraps which includes two new designs, camouflage and ice. Other options include additional storage bins, angler accessories, live bait tank and underfloor fuel tank.

Quintrex has been bringing delight to boaties in Australia for around 70 years and currently manufacture from their facility in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.
