Whittley Marine Group is based in Melbourne and has been in the boat building biz since 1953. That’s a lot of friendships made through ‘friendly’ boats and happy customers. The Whittley FF 1950 is the latest addition to the FF Series and is positioned as a mid-sized trailer boat at just over 6 metres. It has a capacity for 6 onboard and while described as a sports fishing boat, the family-friendly features expand and enhance its appeal well beyond throwing a line.
One of the big considerations for those approaching boat ownership for the first time (and there are a lot of you courtesy of COVID-19 travel restrictions) is having a suitable vehicle to tow the trailer and boat. The cabin is well laid out and appointed to create a great living space and a chemical toilet will be appreciated. The captain has all the tech and gauges required on the ergonomic helm. A great set up overall for the necessary features for overnight stays so you don’t miss those first bites.
